Im just curious to know, what was the oldest age of a rooster you had when it crowed for the first time and what breed is/was the roo?

My Easter Egger cockerel crowed for the first time at 10 weeks old. He crowed at 6 in the evening the first time! My neighbor didn't know what the noise was at first and said there was an old man laughing outside their window! The cockerel only crows a few times a day, still sounds funny, like a half a crow.

That is funny! Mine started crowing at 8 weeks. He sounded like a party blower for the longest time.

I had an OEGB that started up at around 3ish weeks old. He sounded pitiful! My next guy an Americana (EE) started at 3months (almost) and he sounded like he was being killed. They're special

THREE WEEKS!?!?!? Holy cow... erm chicken! Lol

Mine started at 8 weeks 1 day old. He sounded exactly like a party blower lol! He is 4 months old (today). He finally has 3 notes, occasionally 4 in his crow. He is still working on perfecting lol
