How to help duck with possible hip issues

One of my ducks, Mav, has been having a fight with bumblefoot for a bit. She’s on antibiotics and it has been getting better steadily.
today I was sitting with them when Mav refused to walk. She would stay laying down and wiggle across the yard like a demented snake. She doesn’t put any pressure on her leg if she doesn’t have to and reacted negatively when touched at the hip.
Calling the vet to try and get her in tomorrow.
how do I keep her comfortable? I’ve moved her into their night pen so she would have food & water, soft bedding, and not be bothered by the others.
she’s currently overheating and I tried to give her a cup of ice water to help but she just keeps moving when I try to get it near her. She’s also ignored the fish I’ve offered her - she LOVES fish.

thinking about fencing out a small area so she’s separate from everyone (males & females are separated at night) and has food & water within reach.
Any other ideas on how to keep her comfy while I wait for a vet appt?

To cool her down you can also put her in a cool bath. The water will help cool her down. Floating will also take pressure off her leg.

When I have a duck that injured, I bring them in and put them in a crate inside. It makes it easier to monitor them and what is going on. You can tell exactly what they eat and drink. Especially for leg injuries it helps let them rest and recover.

I hope you are able to get her into the vet tomorrow.

Thank you.
ill definitely see about bringing one of their kiddie pools in so she can float for a bit. I’d use the bathtub but I don’t want her to freak out.
I have to call tomorrow since it was too late when it was noticed, so hopefully they can get us in. If not I’ll continue to keep her separate with plenty of food & water and offer the baths until we can.
