Hi Charles and Catherine! Welcome! I am also from Northeast Mississippi born and raised in the birthplace of the king- of Rock-n-Roll that is...Elvis the Pelvis Presley! From Tupelo, Mississippi. I live in Shannon now about 10 miles South on Hwy 45. You aren’t from around here are you? Not too many folks call their land homesteads in these parts. That’s what clued me in or tipped me off. We just call them places, properties, or farms. This area hasn’t been homesteaded since about the 1800’s. However, I wish you the best of luck with it! Welcome to BYC!our

Northeast MS here, too! Charles and Catherine, you have our goals happy to see some duck folks around. Those are hard to find around here. We are expanding our flock this spring and I cannot wait!

We have lived in MS all our lives and have always called our farms "the homestead." Many others in our area do, as well. I didn't know it wasn't a thing in MS!
