Yes, real time updates from tv, radio, f&f calling /texting, online sources. Got some friends dropping me notes and texts as they hear stuff.
Watching the videos from Houston is very scary.
So, second landfall within 48 hours. Houston area expected to get somewhere around 50-60 inches of additional rainfall....

I have no words.
What

Seriously....it's still a hurricane and has gone off shore and now headed back in?!?!?
That's what makes this storm so terrible. First it's the Cat 4 winds, then it's the torrential downpours, then it is going to spin back around on itself heading back to the coast, picking up moisture and strength as it heads back over the water, before tracking back towards the coast where it will hit Houston with more rain and possible hurricane force winds. It's not just a day or two of rain while the storm dissipates, like what usually happens with hurricanes. This one is going to be parked, spinning over the coastline for almost a full week.

Yes, sadly Houston is breaking all kinds of rain records. Also as it gets dark the boats cannot safely move around to rescue people, so they will have to wait for day break! At least it seems many locals with boats are helping and I heard the Cajun Navy is on it's way to help out as well. ( They are a real volunteer group with their own boats who mobilize at times like these)
