That's what makes this storm so terrible. First it's the Cat 4 winds, then it's the torrential downpours, then it is going to spin back around on itself heading back to the coast, picking up moisture and strength as it heads back over the water, before tracking back towards the coast where it will hit Houston with more rain and possible hurricane force winds. It's not just a day or two of rain while the storm dissipates, like what usually happens with hurricanes. This one is going to be parked, spinning over the coastline for almost a full week.

Don't think I've ever heard of one coming back round like that...
.....stalling just inland with tons/days of rain yes, but....that's NUTS!
I'll take snow storms here any day over that.<shudder>

That sounds like 2 hurricanes , one after the other! I just caught a glimpse of Kiki on another thread!!!
