Last night, DH and I were reading the funny animal posts and LOAO, he reminded me of a story from about 10 years ago. We have a very large park (1200 acre) just a few blocks from our house. It had grown pretty wild and had only 1 gounds keeper at the time. It also had a children's train that ran around the front quarter of the park, and it had just re opened! So we took our daughter to ride the train. Needless to say it was packed. So we squeezed all 3 of us into a 2 person seat and started on our little trek through the park. The park was pretty busy with kids playing and adults and older kids fishing, everyone was having a picnic. As the train meandered through the park, there was a group of people having a picnic, who were all also fishing with their backs to their picnic on the ground behind them. As the train rolled by everyone on the train saw a large raccoon helping himself to fried chicken from a bucket of chicken. The entire train load of people began yelling. "Hey the raccoon is eating your chicken." The picnickers had to scramble to run the raccoon off who managed to abscond with a chicken leg anyway.

Just don't use the 'seasoning' pack

Great idea, it tastes better if you use chicken broth instead of water, which gives it flavor without the use of the packet! Thank you aart! My daughter likes miso broth, which you buy like chicken broth.

I like it as a snack now and again... But I use stock (what ever flavor I'm in the mood for), sometimes miso paste--but then I add Tony's, sriracha, a dab of sesame oil, a touch of rice vinegar, a raw egg and peanuts.

@Crooked Chicken: I highly doubt that anyone thought YOU were creating drama. They were thinking the WEATHER CHANNEL was creating drama. That's how it reads to me, at least, and I think there is a lot of good will on this thread.

Unfortunetly, the 'cone of uncertainty' is very close to the Connecticut coast (if not on) this wed. Jose can blow away... Please? Do not want!!!

@Crooked Chicken: I highly doubt that anyone thought YOU were creating drama. They were thinking the WEATHER CHANNEL was creating drama. That's how it reads to me, at least, and I think there is a lot of good will on this thread.

Can't begin to tell you how much I have enjoyed this thread. I believe others have as well, it seems to have been a refuge from all the weather problems we've all seem to be having.

If I thought we could pick a time and all blow to the east and it would help, I would suggest that. Anything, just so it goes away. Adding CT to prayer list.

It appears it will just graze Delmarva....but yeah....NJ and New England may get it worse.
