The plain ramen you get from the store is actually not nutritional enough. You can starve on it. You have to add to it, and that's what I got her a book on doing.
Just a saying
MSG is supposed to be in it... I wouldnt allow that in my house unless I was a starving.. Health shows suggest eggs be lots better for you and lots of them. I remember someone asking about cheap meals on one of my Internet radio show I listen to
take care all

Had heard you could live on fresh ground peanut butter if you had to. We know ramen is far from an ideal food, but so many college students eat it anyway. I think we were just trying to find an inexpensive way to make it more healthy, instead of just basicly empty calories.

Ugh... I didn't catch all of the news, but I just heard on Weather Channel that Jose is moving WNW about 9 mph, is headed to the East coast and will likely become a hurricane again. I wasn't looking at the TV so not sure what part of the east coast they think it might hit.
On our local news, they were saying perhaps the DelMarVa part of the coast. Delaware, Maryland, and VA. Guess what part I live in? :th

Edited to add: Not that we would actually get a hurricane itself. But the rain can be a huge problem on our end of the state.

Ugh . . . some people just can't resist creating drama, can they? The official track forecast still keeps Jose off shore, they are still expecting it to head north and then northeast.

I mean, if we must talk about outliers, how about the model that has it making yet another loop off the coast of Florida (counterclockwise this time) and meandering in an awkward s-curve before executing yet another loop into and out of New England?

Jose has proven to be a stubborn little buzzard; though I'm sure the forecasters have been muttering "I'll believe that when I see it," so far, he has done pretty much what the models have predicted (if you toss out the outliers, and average the others together). The NHC hasn't mentioned landfall anywhere, they simply aren't ruling the possibility out yet.

I'm not disagreeing with you at all... but as Ursaline pointed out, people on a hair string and very low budget do what they do. My brother, at one point, couldn't afford anything but ramen and actually starved himself on it. I'm simply trying to show my daughter that if she feels that's what she has to/wants to eat, that she can do very little to it and make it at least nutritious. Lucky for me, since she did a study abroad in Asia, she much prefers their form of instant ramen, as it has more flavor and more in it. Many of them are more like our canned soups... no need to add water. And, yes it has MSG (the Asian ones probably do too, they love their MSG) While my gut doesn't like it, my family likes take out Chinese... and we eat MSG when we do have takeout. That's our choice. I'm trying to improve the diets of my family by the food I cook and the source of my food... such as my home grown eggs. Once my girls start laying.

Adding your area to the prayer list, it has gotten rather long. At least Our Lady doesn't seem tired of hearing from me!!!

Can't make everything perfect, but we can try to make it a little better.
