I keep trying to trick the neighborhood cats to come play with me but they will not come near me. Meanies!

You could avoid this by promising to get a dog when you have enough time for one.

I once saw a hoarding type show where this real life crazy cat lady had hundreds of them inside her house...hundreds.

Agreed, most of mine are "rescues" that were GIVEN to me. I'm too nice (weak) to say no...especially when it's one of our elderly patients, with no family to take the cat...so nurse me agrees to do it.
