I'm in high and dry Colorado, no where near the mess. As an observer I can see & feel Texans are far more amazing than Harvey could have ever wished to be.

Kiki's current complaints:
(In order of priority)
1. Internet
2. TV service for the news
3. The wet stinky nasty chicken coop/run.

That's it. Not too shabby for just surviving a historic flood event.

Crazy thought.... DW's phone can create a wifi hotspot using 3g/4g even lte. Just thinking out loud here kiki.

I just heard they're opening 11 gates on the Toldeo Bend reservoir. They're evacuating the western side of Beauregard parish, which is my neighbor.

I'm a huge fan of the burkey--but its pricey. I didn't trust the media hype--but was intrigued, so I bought the backpack version and ran water through it from a variety of dirty sources and then had it tested. When the results came back I got the family sized version.

Longville is 30 miles north of Lake Charles. I'm about 1 hour east of Beaumont.
