has anyone posted to a moderator when they feel "picked on " or "criticized" never had that on any thread I am so sorry anyone has had this is a great site full of great people there is no right or wrong with 99.9 people here we want to help be there for each other learn new ourselves or be reminded of forgotten ways.... :hugs
X 2 Especially on this thread I have seen the opposite if anything, people who are ready to appologize if the just think they might have offened someone. It's been so much fun DH wants to know what was posted when he gets home, has even talked about joining himself! Wish the whole world could be this way, I know that's real 1960's thinking, but then that's when I grew up. lol

The current problem up here with our trees... especially oaks, is we've had two bad back to back years with the gypsy moth catapillars. It weakens the trees, having all their leaves eaten, so they're more likely to lose limbs or their root systems in a bad wind.
Also, root system is at least as large and spread out as the tree branches, with a very deep tap root. They tend to be hardy, on Mississippi coast where there was nothing left but slabs in Camille and Katrina. Most of the oaks remained standing, now they did loose some.

I have not, probably should have but I just ignore the users. You can usually tell they are being a******* to all on the thread and then the thread stops. I did notice one user may have already been kicked off - if that happens. There are topics that you learn over time to avoid discussing if you have thin skin...like no crow collars

Hope I didn't say anything to offend you, I was on that thread, and was mostly concerned about the Lady and her son, was afraid she was blaming herself for something she really had no control over. Also was glad she posted, because I was considering getting another roo and a collar. Was glad to learn that sometimes they don't work well and didn't have to go through what she had expirenced. It was a good learning expirence for me. Again if I was the one you felt insulted by, it was not intentional and I appologize.

OH! No! I think I know the post you are talking about....I saw that one....that was a shame! No....these are much earlier threads and the user appeared to be male and just went after all pro-collar users on all the threads on the topic. I haven't seen the user's name in any posts in months.
I remember the user you're referencing. I saw it on a few threads. :(

I'll agree. Group hug time!

Adversarial postings discourage my participation. If I am factually wrong, you can point it out without vulgarities. If it is your opinion, well...

What an exciting start to hurricane season! The Islands, Texas and Florida are in first place with Mexico following. Can we cancel the rest of the season due to lack of interest? Maybe not lack of interest. Um, because no one wants to play?

I've actually private messaged a few users who were obviously hurt by what was being said and apologized for that experience. We have some people who are "experts" on everything, and they may or may not have the ability to allow others the latitude to try something different with their birds without tearing it all apart and telling someone why they are "wrong" to want to try that or to feel that way. I am a very confident person in my ability to figure things out and make my own decisions about what is best for my animals. The fact that I want what is best for them and that it fits into my expense schedule are the driving factors, and I let these kinds of people know that "I've got this." I think the emoticons are great if we use them. They can show when someone is joking or not. This site is fantastic for me because I can read others' experiences and learn from them without making the same mistakes. I can reply, or not, as I choose.
