It's like you americans are still like the pioneers in the movies with the covered wagons, facing daily perils. Hurricanes, hundreds of marauding critters and varmints, jumanji animals waiting to getcha, trees about to fall on you, and being tortured in corners.....
Yet people say it's dangerous down under with the sharks and the poisonous spiders. I'm thinking we've got it good compared to what I've heard lately(just hope there aren't any major bushfires this season)
Hold on, now, I watched the Crocodile Hunter - he found venomous snakes everywhere (though not in a Christmas tree; that was after his time). And the water! Box jellies and blue-ringed octopuses and, and, and . . . .
