I am crazy. Crazy diet change/bet

Are you a rooster or a hen? Didn't want to make assumptions based on your avatar.

125lbs is that? Like 57 kilos? For six foot tall that's already underweight according to BMI calculations and height/weight charts.

What is it you want to lose?
Do you have a fat belly but skinny everywhere else?

I would suggest if you want to change your body shape, but certainly you don't want to be losing any weight, then you actually need to eat more and workout hard.
If you are flabby but thin then you need to bulk up your muscles by working out, the more muscle you have the less fat hangs about either subcutaneous or viscerally.
Then if you want to lose the muscle without gaining the fat, slowly turn down your workout regime while reducing your intake.

Get therapy.

Seriously.

If you are 6' tall you are seriously underweight.

The diet you outlined is total crap. Like deb said, you will screw up your metabolism.

Sounds like you have an eating disorder.

The less you eat the more you not only damage your body, but cause mental health problems.

Wifezilla is bang on - Blunt but accurate.

If you want to gamble, do it with money not your health.

I am 47 and did a lot of damage to my body trying to lose weight from the time I was 16. I have reversed most of it now that I know what I am doing. Just trying to save the kid a lot of headaches, health damage, and potential gall bladder surgery.

Tell me more??

Hi Wolfie!!! Ok here the is lowdown. I used to tell myself I could not have cake, or pie (which I really don't like) or a candy bar, etc... The deprivation messed with my head. So I started focusing more on foods that I actually LIKE that are good for me. Like melons. I love melons, I do not like apples, so I no longer eat them. Bananas are a once in while thing. But I love melons!! When they are out of season, the tangerines are in season and I LOVE them too.

Veggies are an issue with me. I love green beans. And that is about it. But when you think about it, ok, eat green beans!!! Its better than nothing!!

It is ALL about finding fresh, whole foods that you enjoy. Not forcing yourself to eat crap you hate just to lose weight. I NEVER ate red meat before because it was "fattening". I eat it all the time now. I also make it a point to stay away from products made with high fructose corn syrup. It is not "mostly natural". Once I focused on healthy foods that I enjoy, the weight started falling off. Slowly, yes. But it came off.

On this note... My son is 6'1 and weighs 130. Skinny as a rail and eats like a horse. Family backgroun there - men are always skinny til they hit 30 - then they are done for.

Hmm, therein is a problem for me... we don't buy a lot of fresh stuff here...mainly because of the expense... and that we only go into town once a week... winter, once a month... so when we do get fresh it's a treat.

Also, I don't eat much cake or pie or cookies.... an occasional candy bar, my downfall is chips. I love all the fruits and veggies, but getting them for us would break us here... next year we are thinking of a large garden to help with this!

We are junk food junkies here too. I just stopped getting a double, and drink water instead of a shake. Very SMALL changes have made all the difference. I chose what I can live with. You need to do the same. And fresh produce is not as expensive as fast food....

"Skinny" at 125 depends a lot on your height, and even your frame. If you're 6' tall and only 125, and lead an active lifestyle, then you have NO cause to be cutting calories. If however you're only 4'6" tall then maybe? It really depends very much on the individual. How you are built, and what you do every day. If you're burning off 2500 calories exercising every day then a diet that provides 1500 is just NOT going to be good for you. Also of course depends on the exercise, aerobic or not.

Not that I'm at ALL an expert, I am overweight myself, but even I know that much.

But, if the reason you're looking into this diet (diet to me is simply what you eat) is because you want to ingest the healthiest foods you can so you can live a long and energetic life... not for the sole purpose of meeting society or anyone else's ideal... MORE POWER TO YOU.

Just remember, you only get one life. While it's awesome to make sure it lasts as long as possible, be sure you actually enjoy the days you're given... stop and smell the roses... or as the case may be the rose gelato.

BEST OF LUCK, you are a braver gal than me!!
