I'll stick with my suburban. I liken my 8 passengers an 1500 pound payload an I can also camp in it.

That's why I love my van. Right now with 3 bench seats in it seats 11, and has close to a 5' trunk area. My wife and I have packed all of our kids and grand kiddo, two weeks worth of supplies and made it to our BOL (cabin) on a tank of gas. Now it isn't a daily driver as it holds 30 some gallons of gas, but the big V8 coupled with the fact it's a 1 ton van (and can tow anything) makes for poor fuel economy.. But on a good note, perhaps I can drive it more as switching to Geico has saved me a ton of money

I get 19MPG out of the 6.2 diesel in the Suburban an once I get the turbo put on it I expect at least 23MPG. That is the range of lots of cars.

Boyd, do you have to have a Class B license with a passenger endorsement to drive something that big up there? Anything over 9 passengers you do in Ga.

Yeah, I do

Chauffeurs and CDL B endorsement. I passed all the written for A but never did the practical. Now there is a way around it up here, if I am driving the van for personal use I don't need it per se... But I don't want to be quoting traffic laws on the side of the road to an overzealous state trooper

We're on our second Prius. More room and more comforable than our Camry had. Averaging better'n 50 mpg after several thousand miles of driving. 100% reliable. Love it.

I've got a 99 expedition and haven't had one problem with it. I even bought it as a lease return. It gets 15 mpg and seems to get better mileage on the open road.

It can haul alot once you take out the third seat and even more if you fold down the second seat.

If I could get a newer vehicle it would be a Ford F250 with the extended cab and the short box.

I love my Tauruses I had, reliable but sucks in hauling dirty stuff.

I adore my 1995 Dodge Dakota....best little pickup since S10 came out!

However for all service so far, I love my Dodge Caravan Sport however I wished I had a Grand Caravan but the dealers wanted too much for little money. We didnt want to pay so much more than what the Blue Book prices go far and then some but not in thousands of dollars profit! So reliable! And it goes around 20MPH highway fully loaded, groaning with the weight of feed bags, groceries and ten to fifteen 40# concrete blocks for my chicken coop! I am planning on keep her until the wheels fall off or parts are obsolete. Cheaper than a brand new car.

Hubby right now is looking for a good Dakota pick up to haul dirty things in LOL!
