I Hate Dishonest Sellers!!!!!

I do that with eggs also

I am talking about birds....we ship call ducks, chicks...etc that total well over $100 worth of birds.....sometimes $400 worth of birds.

Mrs. Turbo :

redhen....I understand what you are saying.....

I was wondering what other people though about this.....

We currently guarantee live shipment....and technically the buyer does pay shipping

My question is......

would you like to be guaranteed live shipment and give up you right to request a refund on late shipping (late shipping does not happen often)
(if your birds die in transit they will be replaced or issued a full refund)

or get your money back on shipping if your birds arrive late
(if you birds arrive dead it is on you...)

I notice that some small backyard breeders do not replace birds or issue refunds.....Can't have your cake and eat it too.
Most people buy birds and have them shipped because there are not any available within driving distance......the seller doesn't have to offer shipping....I can sell all my birds at a poultry show or local. I want to be upfront with my intentions on my website.

well..the bottom line is.. the buyer does not have to give up the shipping refund rights at ALL. BECAUSE THEY PAID FOR THE SHIPPING!...LOL.. And you can not ever, guarantee a live shipmesnt. Unless you bring the bird to the buyers house, yourself. I would never, ever buy from someone that said i had to make that choice. (it sounds like a scam to me..sorry.) You , as the seller, ship the bird correctly, and if something happens its out of your hands, correct? And either way..the BUYER paid the shipping, so if there was ANY shipping problems the buyer gets the shipping refund, since THEY paid for the shipping. Its a no-brainer for me..I paid the shipping, SO..if there is a shipping problem then i get the refund. BECAUSE your shipping guarantee didnt work if there was a shipping refund to collect in the first place...

so redhen

if your birds arrive dead I don't have to refund your money? but if your box arrives late I will gladly send you that refund....sure does save me money in the long run......

I guess that is what everyone is agreeing on?

What I mean by guaranteeing live birds is I will replace your birds for free or issue a full refund if I don't have any replacements that are the same quality.

Sorry, if you shipped the birds correctly, and it CAN be proven that they were shipped correctly, then no, i do not want any free birds from you! THats just as bad! Its NOT your fault! IF you shipped correctly AND they were healthy to begin with. Noone should blame you for dead birds if they were healthy and shipped correctly. THats when you BOTH (shipper AND buyer..)go after the post office..

I bought off of eggbid and the seller hasn't listed anything else since. He was selling off his collection of ornamental pheasants so I do not think he will be listing anymore.

that is the problem....the post office will not pay out the insurance if there is no damage to the box. Even then I shipped a box of chicks somewhere and the corner of the box looked like it was slammed in a door...some of the chicks were dead but the post office still wouldn't pay out any insurance.

I am just looking for a way to make both the buyer and the seller happy....guess there isn't one.

A friend of ours shipped out 2 different boxes of call ducks and they all died in transit......the temps were low, birds were healthy and it was next day shipping. $800 worth of ducks gone

haha redhen...you are just pulling me along for the ride....I think I am pmsing.......lol
