I have a mixed flock, but this one’s unique?

Ok, this may not be the answer, but I was scrolling through old photos in this Polish thread, and came across some “black crested white” Polish chickens. They reminded me of Eagle, so I wanted to link to that discussion.
I'll save u some time....Here's a pic of the perspective parents

I have no idea what genes contributed to this color of Polish, and I have not (yet) looked up anything about them. But it at least serves to show that it’s possible to get a chicken with a white body and a colored head. Something interesting to look into anyway.

So, it doesn't have to be hunted down.

The difference is, Eagle has phaomelanin in her head and white on the body. The Polish are silver all over their body and have melanin on their head.

Just going to jump in here *and say* bcw polish get their black heads from the recessive charcoal gene, which turns their heads black. That sort of just lets them show black heads or colors based on diluting black. Eagle has so much brown/gold on her head that it’s probably not the case.. Along *w*ith, as amer said, the white would’ve diluted the black on her head.

White with a black head (like silver Lakenvelders and those polish) is pretty well understood. So is white with a red head (gold birchen + dominant white). However, Eagle is an interesting combination of different patterns, as she shouldn’t be able to have that amount of black and that amount of red all concentrated in one area with the rest of her body being white (plus blue(?) feathers, which shouldn’t exist on a chicken with that much black, since blue itself is black with a dilution gene).
