I have a RANT!

Some people think that just because others have different values, religious beliefs, morals, and all that, they are less of a person and therefore needn't be treated like one.

I am very annoyed right now.
I try to take on others' viewpoints as much as possible. I would never treat someone badly just because they believed in a different god or thought that doing missionary work was the most important thing in their existence.

I don't know what triggered the rant, but I can certainly agree with what you have said. I happen to love to meet people with different values and experiences. As long as they are as interested in discovering mine!
A closed mind is a horrible thing, and treating others as "less than" is unforgivable.

Oh, wait, did that just betray my biases? Every person has value. People who don't value THAT diminish themselves.

I agree with both of you. I know what I believe in, I'm happy for others that believe in something--to each his own. If everyone believed in exactly the same things, what a boring world this would be.

Just wanted to add:

Wouldn't this be against the rules too? I've actually been seeing a lot of people being disrespectful of other's views lately, and it's sickened me how rude people can be to each other just because they're a tad different.

We should try to be friends no matter what differences stand in our way...
