I have no after christmas bills!

We pay cash for everything... It's nice to have plastic attached to one's checking account. You get the convenience of a credit card without ANY credit card debt.

We do have a credit card, but it's only for emergencies and hotel reservations. It gets paid off the very next month when the bill comes.

Doesn't it feel good. For 18 years I've only payed Cash for every Christmas.. If I can't buy it from my xmas budget, my kids will have to do without.

So far they have never complained..

We did a mostly handmade Christmas this year, and stayed within our budget.
But DD2 has a birthday Sunday, DH has a birthday in Feb, and DD1 has her birthday in March. So I've been hitting the sales the past few days

I gave all but one homemade gift and spent under $75 in all, including stockings. Yes, it feels great to give a gift that WON'T keep giving!!

I spent to much but its all paid for. Christmas was good, so was Santa. Just got my daughters birthday gifts bought and paid for. We might be eating beanie weenies until the middle of the month but it was worth it.

Oh it DOES feel good to NOT have those after Christmas bills. We do cash...and...for DH and I, we buy practical things that we need. Like, I bought him a finishing nailer gun and a staple gun, for his compressor. ( we all know why he heeds those. right?

He bought me a new incubator. And, well...we ALL know why I NEED that! LOL Then I got him pajama bottoms, he wont wear the tops...and he got me a few night gowns. Things we "need"
