Guys.. I have a Polish problem!! I almost have all the color varieties except for gold laced. Chicken math is taking over! Help!!!

My gold laced rooster is an obnoxious twit toward the hens. He is way too rough on them. He is about 8 months old, so I'm hoping he will settle down with a bit of age, but right now hey all run screaming away when he walks toward them. He calls them to treats and politely waits for them to eat. Any suggestions on how to get him to be more gentle?

Any success with anyone using the chicken "glasses" to stop pecking? I have one hen that just pecks the Crap out of her rooster, and he just sits there as if it feels good (nuts!). She keeps him red and bloody all the time. He would be a great show bird If not for the huge bald spot in the middle of his ridiculously long craft feathers. Wondering if anyone had used the glasses as a last resort, and if it would be worth investing the time to try and find some.
