I love October!

Yep, leaves are peak color here in the central Vermont mountains this weekend! Hurry and come see them! It is so beautiful and it is supposed to be sunny too!!!!!

I'll post some pictures soon! I love these mountains at this time of year.

I do not like October, it's too cold and school. I do like November and December though because of the holidays, but I generally hate winter

Its been in the 60s during the day here and 40s at night for the most part.
Its BEAUTIFUL, we have people coming from all over the country to drive what we call "the river road", its the road along the bluffs and Mississippi river. The eagles are staying closer to the river in this season too.
I sat out on the steps today with a cup of hot cider, someone was burning leaves, geese were flying south. It sure helped me forget troubles for a little while. I LOVE October!

Fall is when I miss the northeast. Cool, crisp days that are perfect for hiking; the smell of the autumn leaves, the colors. October is the perfect month in a good northeastern fall.

I miss Alaskan mountains most all the time, but fall was one of my favorite times there as well. I loved watching the mountains get their fresh coat of snow, and watching it move down from the heights. The only unfortunate part was how early it would get dark. But I loved the the blue twilight color of fresh snow on the mountains.

Here in Texas, we seldom have good fall colors, may 1 in every three years, and it's never like eastern hardwood forest colors. Still to hot here, 86 at 7 pm.

Six months already?!?! Ahh, Im still so excited for you,lol.


Ugh, its 77 degrees today. Nice and overcast, but still pretty warm. We are supposed to get rain tomorrow, which would be nice since we havent had any since June 21st. None that I can recall anyways.

I love October though. Decorating for Halloween is so much fun! I love all of the colorful leaves. Unfortunately, ours pretty much just turn brown and then fall off.

I love fall here in NE OH. The colors, smells, brisk mornings,warm days and cold nights are awesome. It usually lasts until after Thanksgiving since the lake waters keep us warm. Unfortunately, winters are H-E- doubleL once the lake freezes.
