i Think I sent a picture of the bag that is all that was on it. I think you can get starter feed there. I live in south africa east london. i gave them some crushed sunflower seeds and a little bit of lettuce not a lot. my eggs are due to hatch on Tuesday next week. I sent pictures to the breeder when they were four months old and he said that they were to small for their age. And this is the food View attachment 3019276

Wow, if the stated ages are accurate.. that does seem severely stunted!

I see you already said you do have access to starter and plan to pick it up.. that should make a world of difference!

Thank you. They have grown up to be very pretty birds of the right size and one of them has grown to be super fluffy and the rooster out of the two is a very pretty boy he has some leakage though. But they are very sweet. I can post pics when they hatch If you want. I will need name ideas.

I will. Maybe I’ll start a thread on name suggestions if I forget and you remmber please remind me I’m soo exited as I tried to hatch 12 eggs in a homemade incubator and only on made it and then passsed before it hatched.

Don't let Dad pick out the chicken food again. You can feed chick started until the bag is finished. It is more expensive than a grower feed but will not hurt them. Most feed stores will sell it by the bag or by the pound.

Hi. so i went to the feed store and I asked for chick stater and the lady there gave me exactly the same feed she said it was the very best food for small chicks and they can eat it for a very long time. So now I’m stumped maybe there was something wrong with my other chicks, tho the breeder said they were very high quality.
