I have three little cochins and today I noticed my white one is not standing on its leg... does this mean I might need to cull it?

    Here is the pictures

How do I splint a cochin with his fuzzy little legs, won't the tape hurt it?

I've never had to do this but would rubbing his legs with Vaseline or some other type of oil keep the tape from hurting his feathers? Or does that defeat the purpose? I've never had to splint a chick leg so please forgive me if this suggestion sounds silly [IMG]
