Ok, here is my chewed squeaky toy Icelandic.

She's one of 2ish girls I hatched, so she's a keeper.

I think I need to name her "Raggedy Ann" or "Quailtastic" or something.

I am sorry for the confusion, I wasn't saying that your gene pool wasn't diverse, I was saying that the people who were hatching your grand chickies and great grand chickies were possibly getting multiple doses of the same gene that is causing the weird feather.

I hope you didn't take offense to my reply. I was just clarifying.

No offense taken whatsoever.

Lately, I seem to be that person that is stepping on everyone's toes. I didn't meant to offend anyone if I did, or point blame, just a part time nerd trying to figure out stuff.

Wow.. you miss a few days and a million things happen... I know I'm not responding to dozens of things but just had to say how relieved I am that Michael is ok and Mary was at home!! We had a similar thing happen to us years ago when Michelle was pregnant with our oldest.. She was at home and a lady came across the median and hit me headon on an overpass.. completely collapsed the passenger side of the car.. We were so grateful that Michelle had not been in the car.. You know Mary... I've heard of many people simulating shipping etc to test eggs but I think you get the prize for extreme testing..

Holy cow Laree and Mahonri!! I just figured out another reason not to live in the oven!! Do you guys have those little dust storms very often?

We had a great 4th of July.. we make and sell cotton candy all day long... It is a family project that we started 10 years ago as a way to teach the kids some business skills and also to make extra money for a vacation or something every year.. We always need a holiday on the 5th to recover though..

Laree, I knew you could get a pic for us!

Yep, looks like mine that I posted earlier. I wish the fray would show up in the first set of chick feathers, then I could cull them before getting attached or knowing whether or not they were girls. I will be trying to find pet homes for my two girls, and the boy will end up like many of the other boys with no where to go...........

Is the fray a death sentance? Or is it just an undesirable trait?

I mean: can I just stick her in with my laying flock and use her as a conversation piece?
