Thanks! Yes, he's a cutie....AND an attention hog. He will need "personal space" training rather early. If it was possible he would want me to pick him up and carry him around.
I'll start an official list for the jubilees late Fall. I don't know what the going price is going to be for the new season given that they aren't as rare as they were last year and this year. If they are sstill pricey, I don't want folks to feel like they have to follow through with their order. I bought them for myself without thinking about what it will cost folks to buy chicks/pullets next year. I'm not sure if I should just offer started pullets or also sell straight run chicks. What do you think? If they are expensive, I don't think people will want to be stuck with a bunch of cockerals. ???
Oh yes, Christine... GO FOR IT!!!Thanks! Oh, and I thought of another project for you........because you have way too much time on your hands. Chocolate mottled/jubilee orps!![]()
I lost one of my Coturnix Quail babies this morning. It was only about a week old and got spraddle leg. Yesterday morning i used a band aid to make a hobble to try and correct the spraddle leg. last night it was doing fine. I put a new band aid on him and went to bed. This morning I found him in the water dish. So sad. I'm such a baby when it comes to this type of stuff.
On that polish I have a super wishy washy guess---the crest looks like a male. The comb looks like a male, with that V shape up at top......but it is not as red as I would think it should be...so still no definite yes or no, but hoping it is a boy for you, I think it looks like it could be~! Maybe it is just maturing slower. The crest feathers look more narrow too so there sure are lots of signs. If you needed a girl it would be male for sure lol but because you need a boy the rules are differentso proceed with caution haha![]()
