Idaho?

Haha, as long as you want to take the chickies back, I'd LOVE to hatch them for you!!! But, be warned, I'm an amateur still, but I've been taking virtual lessons from Michelle, hoping some of her wisdom rubs off by cyber-osmosis somehow, lol!! I won't do my own till Jan/Feb because really the only place warm enough for them is my basement, and I just can't stand the thought of having chicks in the house for so long, makes me itchy, haha

Yeah, I would raise the little buggers. I have a couple of banties that tend to brood, I might just let them sit 'em.

Hi everyone!

With permission from the admin I am posting to let you know that there's a regional facebook group available for people with chicken hobby farms in the Pacific Northwest. The facebook group is not a replacement to BYC so please don't leave this forum. "Backyard Chickens PNW" (as it's simply called) is a way for Washington, Oregon and Idaho people to connect with each other about things that are local. Like the meetup group in Portland. Or the brands of chicken feed that are available here. Or to find a particular breed of chicken . . . that type of thing.

To find the group, search on facebook by entering "Backyard Chickens PNW" or click on the link below.

Please take a moment to consider if you know of others that may be interested in the group. If so please let them know the group exists.

May your nests be dry, your eggs be whole and your chickens be healthy!

Awesome! I just requested to join! I was also going to mention you should post an ad in Craigs List, I think there are a lot of chicken lovers on there as well who might be interested, hopefully it wouldn't draw in the wrong crowd, but I see a lot of activity on Craigs List for people selling chickens and an occasional ad for organic chicken feed.

Thanks Becca. I don't do much on Craigslist so I tend to for get about it. But what I thought it was for buying and selling . . . what section would an announcement go in? Are announcements welcome there?

Welcome to the facebook group!

I'm doing some updates on my webpage for the new year. If anybody has a poultry related webpage and would like to link share, please let me know. I can display a text link or a small banner if you have one.

I would list it in the For Sale section under Farm and Garden, it is free to post. For example you could post in major cities, for Idaho I think there are really only three major areas to choose from for Idaho. If you would like me to post it for Idaho you could pm me the subject title and verbiage and I could take care of listing it for you!

Edit: I just re-read what you said, it is for buying and selling, but I have seen stuff that is not necessarily for either so I guess I can't say for sure if announcements are necessarily welcome there, maybe that wouldn't be the best option to get the word out.
