Ignorant Yankee / country music (update Page 13)

Buff, Come visit me in Arizona and we'll take y'all two steppin at the The Buffalo Chip, Satisfied Frog or Kid Chelean's Bad Ass BBQ! There is another little place we love to visit called the Mormon Lake Lodge. It's an old old log barn converted into a restruant/tavern with a tiny dance floor. It's in the middle of nowhere, northern Arizona. Has a rodeo arena and several times over the summer they have Roping or Bull Riding events. Fun Place to dance. I haven't gone two steppin in so long!!!!!! Come on........it's alot warmer here than in PA!!!

Why Not??? Arizona is full of Snow Birds right now. Night time temps are in the high 50's, Christmas is just around the corner, What a wonderful world!

(just a reminder, come July I won't be so cheery)

Well I was raised IN 'Bama but have cousins from the yankee lands and everytime they are around I pic' up their accents and takes me weeks to get the dawgs out the yawd while drivin' the caw..and then we go to school (can't spell it yankee). I listen to come country but y'all know if you play some country backwards you get your life, dog, wife and your car back!!!!!!!

When I was in Europe I was amazed at how much American country music
I heard. They like it accross the pond.

Cawwwwfee? Awwwwwwstin? (not so much the further north of NYC you go...)

I'm Don and my wife is Dawn.

Say those two names in your best Southern accent. Dowwn & Dowwn...

And Trace was a bit out of tune on that video Buff. I noticed that too.
He sounds a lot better in the studio but so do I(they turn off my mic).

Take a video. Prove it.

I'm guilty of this as much as anyone but there are SO MANY variations
on accents as well as country music.

In one day I may be up towards Boston and end close to New York.
WHOA, talk about a difference in the way people talk. Same is true
anywhere. I can almost always tell the difference between someone
who grew up in South Carolina versus, North Carolina or Georgia.

There have been several country singers from New Jersey and Long Island
to make it big in Nashville. Isn't Kieth Urban Australian?

Yes Keith Urban is from Australia. I like him, alot of people think he is not country. One of my favorite's of his is "stupid boy'
