Glad I could help! We'll definitely be posting updates...They are shipped eggs, we've never hatched an emu, so I think the odds are way against us here, but eh, if it'll make him happy why not give it a try? I don't have a use for the incubator for a few months more anyway.

Hope tomorrow is better for you!

our neighbors have emus, they tore down their fence and escaped, scared the heck out of all the horses within a few square miles...they might take some special fencing, dont know too much about them...

Good Luck!

Yeah, me, who is afraid of turkeys will be hatching Emu's.

It's okay though, I'm pretty sure that if they do hatch, (I'm seriously doubting they will) we will be able to sell them rather quickly.

We have a big empty pasture out back. Used to have our goats, but we sold them all last year, so there's nothing back there. IF they hatch, and IF we decide to keep them, they'll go back there. those are very big IF's though.

My husband moved in with me when we were still dating. He was here exactly a week and said "I want a goat" So we started fencing the back pasture in, and one day
I went to an auction and came home with a little white fainter. It just grew from there. We sold them this winter because they'd cleared the land we wanted cleared. Now we can get a steer.
