Im' in Nova Scotia, Canada

Greetings fellow Bluenoser from just outside of Truro !

We are looking for some black cochins if you happen to hear of anyone who has any for sale.

I don't know how I missed this thread, but just now came across it. We live in a small town not far from Truro, N.S. and have had 3 welsummers for about 1 1/2 years. I chose this breed because I didn't want to raise any roos (Wellies are easily sexed at one day), especially in a town and knowing we only wanted 3 or so. I wanted a drak brown egg-layer. We've been happy with the breed, but the crazy weather this winter caused quite a long moult. The girls are swinging back into egg-laying mode now, though.

We travel to the Fredericton area of N.B. from time to time, so if anyone wants to send eggs or chicks from truo area to Fredericton, just let me know and I'll tell you when we're going up again. Rigth now it looks like we're going up again March 30th weekend...will leave Truro about 2 pm and return Sunday afternoon.

Hey there Grandma.... Welcome..... I am in Hackett's Cove and our winter has been crazy here too. Nice though not to have to deal with frozen water dishes for months though... hahaha

Economy area here :D

Im currently looking for 5 adult birds for the beginning of May. they will be laying and pet chickens. Im making a coop this coming week and taking on my first 5 ladies shortly after :)

Hens are Golden Comets.
Not sure what the rooster is but there's a pic of him in this thread https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/749985/help-with-a-rooster#post_10592953

My comets lay everyday....get about 40 eggs a wk from 6 hens. I currently have eggs in the bator and so far 100% are good

I'm located just past Digby in Nova Scotia
