I'm new and one of my eggs is hatching and needed a Lil help but...

The chicks need to escape the heat if it is too warm.... they need room to move away. If they aren't warm enough they will form a tight ball clustering together.
If they are too warm.... they may start panting.
They need access to food and water as well.
Water should not be too deep that they can drown. You may have to dip their beak, avoiding the nostrils, in the water to get started.

Do you have a thermometer to put where the chicks are to assess the temperature. It should be around 90-95 F
Yes I do and I did I checked it with the box closed after it as on for a hour and also with it open and with testing what I call the Lil curtains lol I closed them around the light and opened I also made sure the bulb can't be reached but if they do reach it it's not a got one like the one in the bator

tthey can get completely away from heat or right up into it of course without being hurt I made sure to test it and the water and food are there the water thing is one I bought and have used with my very first chicks :)

If it seems small in this pic it's really the angle I'm pointing the camera lol that baby looking at me hears my voice and come to me it like me and it's also the aggressor in the brood here lol the others are sweet and get bullied by it

So these are the ones left pink is a pipped egg
Purple is internal pips
Darker blue are one snuggled up to the air cell and will probably internally pip soon
Light blue needs more time and are not even snug against the air cell yet but not far behind
They are all alive and doing great

This baby is gotta be my favorite so far
The think I loved about my room was his colors I preferred him to have his random black spots and this one has a lot it also hasome black skin on both wings
Does that mean black feathers will grow?
