I'm new and one of my eggs is hatching and needed a Lil help but...

Just to let you know-you should stop candling now as they are hatching. chicks need time to get into position and candling disrupts that and can cause problems for hatching.

Chicks position around 14 turning from the small end to the large end and at day 17ish when they position their head under wing beak up. Chicks should generally be in position by lockdown. While most people don't candle after lockdown and observe strict hands off lockdown not everyone does. I candle all the way through hatch. I have high hatch rates including two 100% with 19&20 eggs. Candling does not compromise hatching.

Thank you for the reply. THere are just two chicks in there. One hatched this morning at 3 am and the second one just 2 hours ago. Wasn't sure if humidity should be reduced while they dry.
Higher humidity will take them longer to dry, but doesn't hurt them. You don't want condensation collecting in the incubator though.
