I'm planning to hatch chicks for sale for the first time soon.

Do you move them to the brooder after they dry, or wait until they all hatch then move them.
I do NOT EVER open the incubatorduring the hatching process. That can cause the other chicks still trying to hatch to shrink wrap in their eggs. I wait at least 2 days after the first chick has hatched to make sure any eggs left are just duds that didn't make it before I open and put them in a brooder.

And here is number 10

Also I am happy to report that the last 2 eggs that had not pipped yet have pipped too!

That's where I messed up. I had a small tabletop incubator for 12 eggs and once 3 of the chicks hatched and dried off I started moving them because they were running out of room. I'll know better next time.

I know right, if I could just hatch chicks for other people I'd be thrilled, I just don't have the yard for more than 8/9.
I'm very lucky to have farmland passed down from when my German farming ancestors moved to central Texas. We have 30 acres and the back quarter of it has lots of trees so we can build whatever we need.
