My son, born in 1975, got a smallpox vaccine but I don't remember how old he was. Three or four maybe? His sister, born in 1978, did not. I was very nervous about her not getting one.

It was a one time thing to get you from grade school through high school. I had to get a second to attend college. Others also had to get a renewal to travel abroad.

Yes. I got it si often because of travel. Many countries required it. My last one was in the 70s.
