So do you realize where whatever it is was located immediately after making a replacement purchase or immediately after walking in the door to your house? I usually realize exactly where it is and why it’s there as I leave the store to head home…..and at that point it becomes to much trouble to go back.

No. Only after I have purchased something and am looking for a place to put it ... and then, BINGO! So THAT's where I keep the .. whozit that I just bought a new one of!

No. I need to be tidy. This house makes me nuts because my DH has lived here since he was 5 years old and I don't know where things are and sadly, neither does he. When I ask him he says, "I'm sure it's around here somewhere." This house, built in the 60's, has a full basement, 4 bedrooms and 3 big storage rooms downstairs. There is a whole lot of "somewhere" in this house! It's like a black hole!

I fought with my sisters tooth and nail to get them to stop "cleaning up" my stuff. After they did, I could never find anything!

Like when I walk into the bathroom to trim my hangnail. I get there, can't remember why I walked in, decide to go pee, just because I'm there and I'll have to go soon anyway. Then, as I pull up my pants, my hangnail catches and reminds me that that's why I went into the bathroom in the first place.
