I'm still shaking, WARNING GRAPHIC IMAGES

sad, i had a similar experience with neighbor dogs. we left one morning with 36 chickens and when we came back at noon 2 dogs had killed all but 7 who had been smart enough to hide under the chicken coop.

The story gets stranger.
I only lost 9.
I had a knock on the door a little bit ago and someone from the retirement home about a quarter mile away asked me if I was missing a chicken. He said a hawk dropped a chicken at the home a little while ago.
Apparently during all the mayhem when chickens were running like mad and being taken down by the dogs a hawk picked one up and dropped it at the retirement home for safe keeping. It's one of the blue JGs and as far as I can tell unharmed.

I asked the guy how he knew I had chickens and he said he didn't.
He said he just knew I had a lot of other weird stuff here and figured it belonged to me.

Oh, how I wish I could give you a hug to stop your shaking and, perhaps I'm wrong, tell you it's OK to be so angry (I know you are).

A dog of similar breed was on my front porch one morning a few years ago. When I came out, she had killed a hen (free range every now and then) and dominated my ancient Lab and baby Pyr. I recognized her as my neighbor's dog and she had a reputation for killing. Called the neighbors; not at home. I needed to keep an appointment so I thought I would catch the dog and tie her or take her home and tie her there. Took some ham and a rope- caught her and she bit me! OK sister. Got out the .410 to shoot in the air or pepper her butt. When I was near her, she raised her hackles and came at me. That ended that. I called the neighbors. Note to self:SSS.

What did the neighbors get to replace her? Another breed that has high prey drive. Plus they raised pups. Now I am the neighbor who shoots dogs. And if you're wondering, there is no animal control for dogs where I live, only for abuse of large animals.

Hugs and peace,
Margie

The neighbor said if I had shot the dogs she wouldn't have said a thing.
That is the sentiment after the fact and also considering that I didn't shoot the dogs.

Sounds like she is having a difficult time with them and they were never trained. Mal's generally don't have a high prey drive towards humans and that sounds more like a wolf mix.... Looking at the picture, you cannot say guarantee'd there is not a wolf hybrid. Are they actually her dogs, or a husband or son? A lot of people like these dogs for the wrong reasons!!! They think they are great guard dogs, but when the dogs are left to their own devices, they can become dangerous for the whole neighborhood.

they are great dogs for the right people i agree malls now are starting to sell malamutes and huskys at the mall as puppys here its awful

Breaks my heart because with the right owners, they are awsome dogs. When my kids were little those dogs would give their life for their alpha's (me) kids!!!

The wolf hybrids are a sad story too, sooooo many of them have to be euthanized because of negligent/undereducated owners.

Ok, sorry, I know we took this thread of course.

Good luck with your neighbors, if you have no form of animal control, it can be extremely difficult with neighbors (even with AC). Lot's of hot wire!!!!!!!!
