Impacted crop

How do you feel about tubing some fluids to her? Tubing fluids is how I have been able to clear impacted crops. To tube you will need a 30 or 60 ml syringe and a tube. You can use aquarium tubing from Walmart, PetSmart, or Petco. Go get some of that, then go to Tractor Supply and get a 30-60 ml syringe.
My mom won’t let me. She thinks she’ll stick it down her throat.

I’m having a hard time convincing her. She just wants to do the surgery.
I once taught to children (brother and sister) how to tube using the overflow tube from a toilet. They figured it out, managed to save their hen, then went on to show it at the county fair.

Crop surgery is truly a last ditch *drastic* measure and IMO, should not be done by someone that is not comfortable tube feeding. Tube feeding is easy, crop surgery is hard. On top of that, have either of you thought about what is actually causing the crop problem? Unless the crop is full of grass, then the problem is probably not in the crop, so what will you do, and how will you feel if you open the crop and it's not actually impacted?

What size tube? She doesn’t want to do surgery anymore. If we did crop surgery would it require stitches?
