Impacted crop

I got her to eat the rest of the coconut oil a total of two teaspoons along with some mush. Should I be trying to get her to eat or not letting her eat? After rubbing her crop for a little less than 10 minutes it seemed like it was getting less impacted and squishy. She doesn’t smell like anything other than coconut oil though. Should I try to make her a bra to help hold that huge crop? She seems a little off balance still but much better after oil and a massage.

Hello @Cinnamon11 how your two girls doing? I would try to not give Lilly food until her issue is resolved, but try not to withhold food for a long time. If you have a vet nearby, maybe you can ask for this? My girl had what was like an impacted crop but was really a lot of dirt she ingested. This flushed it out of her crop.

Sadly a vet is not an option. Fluffer face is doing very well but Lilly seems slightly worse. Fluffer face is drinking getting her Corid and last night even jumped up to the tallest roost instead of laying down! Lilly does seem a little more lethargic but I think I might try to make a chicken bra if that would help hold her big crop. I’ve been giving her massages on her crop and it’s just not emptying.

I know a lot of vets won’t treat chickens, but maybe you could just ask to buy it? Praying for Lilly. :fl
