Impacted crop

Pics
I’m so happy fluffer face is better! :yesss: How is Lilly doing?
Her health goes up and down. She tends to be the worst in the morning. But every day it’s the same no worse no better. I made a bra for her but she’ll have to get used to it before wearing it a lot. Her crop is always very full and seems uncomfortable. Here is a poop picture from this morning.

She does need to eat something. Let her have some wet mash.
Did you read that article?
Yes I read the article I will give her a wet mash with coconut oil because that’s the only way she will eat it. So massaging her crop in the article is good but I’m getting mixed answers on it. That and the coconut oil really helped but I don’t want to risk her chocking. This is what the mix ends up looking like until she starts refusing to eat it then I add a little more mash.

If the crop is hard and impacted, then massaging is good, but take care not to press upward, kneed the crop to help break up what's in there. If it's sour, then don't massage.

You can make her mash a little more soupy. As long as you are not syringing liquid oil into, then you lessen the chance of her choking. Giving the coconut solid or mixed with the food is fine.

Is she pooping?

Ok thank you i will continue massaging as it is not sour crop. I will make it more soupy. She has been drinking lots of water. She is pooping but a lot less than normal.

Good! If the massages help then I would do them. Wyorp Rock is an expert, so listen to her. I will offer advice on what I know.

I just gave her another coconut mush meal and I felt her breast bone and she is more underweight than I thought. She ate great and I gave her a 10 minute massage (I plan on giving her another when she finishes eating) and the massages are definitely the thing that helps the most. Her crop was still full after the massage but it was loser and less bloated.
