Her getting to be outside with her flock is very good for her!

I really wanted to leave her out and was very tempted do. Her keeping wanting to eat grass was the only reason I didn’t. If you think her eating the grass would be ok I’ll just leave her out. She really is so much happier out there.

I think I'd try to avoid the grass for a couple of more days if possible. See how that crop is moving by morning.

She may be one that you'll need to check for the rest of her life. I've had some that just seem to eat toooo much material and end up with issues, while all the others just nip here and there and have no problems.

Just checked her crop. It’s still there but a lot smaller again. Gave the coconut oil and massaged and it seemed to of went down again. She did not poop at all last night. When messaging her crop this morning I could feel something fibrous filling Inside so hopefully today I’ll be able to break that up. Tomorrow morning is her last treatment of Miconazole so I really hope that whatever she has left in her crop will be gone by then .

Overall she’s doing much better and I can tell she feels much better. She’s back to her normal curious self. She still don’t have her normal appitite back but is eating some here and there.

Not pooping all night is not too good.

I'd work on that crop. Consider going the next step to impacted and give 1 Stool Softener (not laxative) to see if that helps break up what's in there. I just pop the soft gel into the beak and let them swallow it.

Alternatively, you can try a flush to see if that really moves things along. 1tsp Molasses mixed into 1/4cup warm water. She should drink all of this before she drinks anything else. Usually they like the taste and will drink it down. If not, syringe it into her.
It can cause a lot of loose stool (Molasses has a laxative type effect on chickens), so be prepared for that.

That’s what I was thinking too. I did wake up early give her the coconut oil and massaged and in the span of 4 hours she had already pooped 4 times. I thought about giving the stool softener around lunch but I may give the molasses a shot. I would feel a lot better if whatever she had going on is cleared out before she sets done with the Miconazole.

Been working on her drinking the stuff for about an hour now. She’s been drinking it on her own. She has a little bit left but her crop is full. No poops since she has started drinking it. Really hope this flushes whatever out.

She has drink it all but maybe a half a teaspoon. The pooping just started not even 5 mins ago. She’s gone twice so far. Fingers crossed this is what she needed to finish clearing herself out.

Well the flush apparently didn’t get everything out. Woke up this morning and she still had a little bit in her crop. It was about the size of a marble. We just finished coconut oil and massages as well as her last dose of Miconazole. When I do the massages it feels like the stuff breaks up but by the next morning she still has stuff there.

Just spoke with my husband, she has still been pooping today. He was able to get her to eat some. He brought her outside and said she was attaching around and dust bathing. So she is feeling better. Hopefully another day or 2 and she will be back 100%.
