Well I just can't see a barred rock cockerel making it to 17 weeks without crowing...??? And you're saying the others look similar to her now??? You don't see pointyish saddle feathers coming in draped down by the tail???? Then it would have to be a pullet

I couldn't tell you without a body shot of that bird. I see the original post was at the end of June so surely you'd have more clues by now.

by 13 weeks, you will be hearing a crow/ or something similar...and the comb is very red and large compared to the others....here is a shot of my BR roo and one of my pullet...the coloring is usually different, but can be close.
