In an emergency, is it safe to eat the geese at my local park?

The real question here is porque no los dos? (Why not both?)

Pen up as many as you can. Separate all the ladies and 1-2 ganders. Eat the extra ganders, breed the ladies. That's how you start to move from hunter/gatherer to agrarian.

Meanwhile hunt any of the geese you missed and any other wild animals you need to while you wait for your newly captured flock to reproduce. Best of both worlds.
Sounds like a ton of work that I would fail at completing. Good thing I already have pullets and a cockerel😅.

Anyone know why the 'world' has ended here?!

@duckiemum, if the world ends we are going to need to raise flocks and get back to breeding. Killing all the geese is not a long run situation.
Like ChocolateMouse's post. Pair them up for breeding, and eat the rest.

roosterhavoc, In this case the OP asked about the geese. The power going out and water getting shut off is a common scenario for many people in the US - recently we had a boil notice for my neighborhood in the deep burbs for 3 days and equally deep suburban on the other side of town the power has been on and off all week because of strong winds taking down power lines one after another. Many people who are interested in end of the world scenarios are also looking at every day realities like power and water... But that wasn't this topic.

Having said that, yes, most of it is roleplaying and wishful thinking. :lau

What does it mean for the world to end??
Surely if the world ends it would mean that the human race is extinct, would it not?
When people say “world to end” more specifically they mean the humans world will come to an end. For the world to actually end the earth would have to be destroyed. Pretty much every animal besides human have been living in conditions we find “apocalyptic” so the world would not end but we would.
