In demand chicken breeds

Right now, I'm interested in some Dominiques, Welsummers, Whiting True Blues, Silverrud Blues, and more Swedish Flowers. I like the kind of birds who forage well and are mostly egg layers, not meat birds.

I like a pretty flock. I have seramas, longtails, couple Polish, silkies, and then light brahmas and faverolles for eggs.

No kidding. Just cool looking & almost 3' tall.

I have a mixed flock. Plymouth rock, rir, blue laced wyndottes, EE, black sex link, and roos a silkie & a black AM.

I'm just curious what chicken breeds people are most interested in for their backyard flock.

It really depends on their intended use.
Egg production or specific color, meat, showing, just fun, selling, breeding, pets, or like many just chicken crazy.

My current flock is really my wife's. A mix for eggs and just her enjoyment.

I'm getting some black pendesencas & lavender ameraucanas hopefully soon. My purpose would be to breed. The side purposes colorful eggs for the wife, culls for sale or meat, and we are both crazy.

My leghorns laud tons of huge eggs, they were skittish but I only had hens. I kept them for eggs and orphingtons because they’re super friendly. I haven’t had a men’s one yet and I’ve had 6 over 4 years. They’re our favorite personality wise
