Wow I think you got it this time!
Sounds good to meMy new turner motor came in today! I installed it and it’s running nice and slow. I think it’s rated to do 1 rev every 4 hours.
I’m all set I think! My calibrated thermometers are all reading a steady 99.5 pretty much anywhere at egg level. My humidity had been sitting 40-42% all day today with a shot glass of water in there. I can get it to 60+ with a small Tupperware dish.
Anyone see anything I’m missing?
I don’t want to jump into more eggs if it’s not perfect. I need a hatch win this time.
I’ve got a tall mesh plastic basket with shelf liner that I’m going to put the eggs in to hatch so the chicks can’t get into anything. Seemed like a good easy cleanup as well.I would troubleshoot for any way that a chick could get into trouble. For example, is there any way a chick could get wedged against a wall? Can a chick fall into one of your water reservoirs? Can you put screen over the water or put sponges in the shot glasses to keep chicks from drowning? Can anything tip over onto a chick?
It’s 75w. Should I switch it out? If so what wattage should I use?I'm just "still" curious about that heat bulb/light bulb/flood light what is the wattage on it?
