They rest alot at this point, so it can be hard to hear them alot of times. Especially if your incubator has a fan. But to answer your prior question, if you hear peeping without an external pip, then yes, they have pipped internally. Congrats on the pip, good luck with the other and your hatch! :fl

18-24 hours from the external pip to hatching is pretty normal, so don't get too alarmed yet. The second one should hatch within about 48 hours from when the first one hatches, so nothing is out of the ordinary just yet. Hang in there! :fl

Yes, I agree. When I was hatching Black copper marans I had got an external pip in one of my eggs and there was a point where the chick wasn't moving, It hatched about 6 hours later so I wasn't worried.

As I'm looking closer to the small pip it just looks like a crack and there doesn't look like there a whole. The other one still didn't pip and 11 hours passed since the first small pip which just looks like a crack. They aren't moving and aren't making any noises.

So me being the paranoid person I am  I got a stethoscope to the glass of the incubator and I heard a quiet rhythmic tapping noise, but I don't see the eggs moving or the hole getting bigger. Although before I got the stethoscope, I saw the egg move a lot and the crack jumped up but after that I just hear tapping. I hope they will be safe.:fl

Ok the tapping got louder and the other egg pipped, but there looks to be a membrane underneath and just the top cracked like with the other one. Is this normal or should there be a hole in both?
