Incubating first time. Temp 107!!!!

So we got a pip! At first I could barely tell it was one, just looked like a tiny dent or something. Came back an hour later and it was a bit of shell cracked, another hour and its this! The one above it with all the dogs also seems to be having the early stages of the dent on ones of its dark spot so hopefully by end of day I'll have babies!

Its been 9 hours since the first pip and it hasn't zipped yet or broken the membrane? Is it ok? We also have 8 pips now

8 pips is great! And it's totally normal for it to take a while between pip and zip. The chick has to absorb its yolk and pull all the blood out of those vessels on the shell wall before it can come out. I've heard it can take a couple days even, in some cases. Now's a good time to sit on your hands and let those babies do what they do.

So its ok if they haven't poked through the membrane? Its been 11 hours since the first one pipped and it hasnt broken through it so I'm worried it cant breathe! I was thinking at 12 hours of it not breaking through the membrane, I was thinking of wetting the membrane a tiny bit and if there are no blood vessels then cut it a little bit so he can breathe. Is that a wrong move? When should I start to worry?

We had 15 babies hatch! Out of 20 eggs 15 hatched, 2 died in hatch, 1 was infertile, and 2 had blood rings.
Many of them are browns but we did get 2 little golden Italians. I swear to god most of these are dry lol. So for my last question. How do y'all tag the babies so you can tell them apart? Its do hard!

Lol I don’t tag the babies, I wait till they’re mostly adult.
