He was inside his crate like every night. He is in the kitchen/dining area by the sliding door/air vent. Never had snakes inside tho. I asked my in laws about that possibility, the only snake that has ever been in their house was when my BIL bought one home with a tank from his friend before they forced him to give it back

But we do have hobo spiders/black widows/other various poisonous spiders here. I checked his face, didn't find any obvious puncture wounds, vet didn't see anything either. They thought it might have been a spider that bit him when he ate it... Which he would do.

Vet Tech here- Yep when the swelling is on both sides of the face it's usually a bite vs something eaten IME. I would suspect a flying insect is the culprit. yellow jackets, bees or wasps will cause those types of sudden swelling that respond well to steroid injections and Benadryl. The good news is the swelling will go away pretty quickly :)

Day 20 here. No pips, no sounds. Dark eggs, marans and OE's that are pretty dark. Do you guys find that the dark eggs take longer..I've not done too many of them, because I've had great luck with them. Keeping the humidity up a little higher than I normally do, temp down where I normally do for lock down. I do have a couple of lighter eggs in there, not worried with the bit of difference in things though.

Lol I've seen things.... Horrible things that can't be unseen that dogs have eaten lol. It's so hard to know what can cause these things for sure. My dog finds houseflies irresistible. If she sees the flyswatter she runs to await the smack so she can eat it! :rolleyes
If it was a spider bite that got your dog you'll see a lesion form at the site so check the tongue too because those bites can get infected. I hope he's feeling better soon and has had his fill of bugs for now ;-)
