Husband LIED!! He told me they all pipped. One just had shell from another stuck to it. But 9/10 pipped, 6 still out, 1 starting to zip now... Even if we get 9 chicks I'll be stoked! He already gave me the glare of doom because we're living dangerously, lots of chicks LOL

poor thing living with a hatchaholic is awful just ask my wife . I love easy math 9 out of 10 90% never had a hatch that good.

Best bet would be to put a wanted ad on your local Craigslist, or find someone locally who sells fresh eggs, see if they have roosters, and try some of those.

Thanks...technically they are supposed to stay 55 degrees....dang rain

Technically, the 5 degree drop per week expires once you get to 70 degrees. Once they are feathered in, they are good to go. I put them outside with no light at 5 weeks in the summer, 8 weeks in the winter. If it is below freezing, I will add a light in the coop, but they usually shy away from it

8 out, the single pip got a little bigger overnight, and still nothing with 10. 2 of them popped out the same time: 1:30 am. Being a night owl, of course I was awake! Got to watch them! Still a good hatch rate for the lockdowns. Leaving them a little longer just in case the last one decides to join the fun.
