My BR looking EE are suddenly looking like Cindy. All of my black hens are getting brown splashed. I'm beginning to think that they are rolling in mud!

I am not sure why Cindy has so much brown coming in at this point. She was black and white before she went broody. I think she is about to have her first molt also, maybe that is why?

All my serama eggs have pips!

two are mals but chirping!! yes I pulled and checked those two

I have been trying to fight off a sinus infection since Friday, and yesterday and today have been awful. May have to bite the bullet and go get some antibiotics. I'm at work, but miserable. Ugh.

Did you read the lifecycle CH? just because its not on the fish doesnt mean they are not in the bottom for the next stage! keep treating like you were told

I have been trying to fight off a sinus infection since Friday, and yesterday and today have been awful. May have to bite the bullet and go get some antibiotics. I'm at work, but miserable. Ugh.

they suck, trust me I am still with you on that sinus crap. my jaw hurt my head my eyes started gooping mess!! feel better, bite that bullet no sense to suffer.

Did you read the lifecycle CH? just because its not on the fish doesnt mean they are not in the bottom for the next stage!  keep treating like you were told

O mo I did salt in the water an on the fish let that set 24 hours then yester afternoon I did a whole tank cleaning I boiled the rock and filter prices and everything in boiling water to kill it and the salt didlpped my Oscar again before adding him back in

If you go down by San Antonio - it's a lot greener than the places up by the AZ border. You get the rain, slightly cooler temps, humidity, it's pretty nice year round. You get slightly less extreme heats up by SA than by the border of mexico, but if you like a tropical climate, coming further south (there's also the beaches, Corpus Christi area.) then the border may be a good choice.

Del Rio for example, has all the amenities of a big town, (doctors/dentists, lowes, home depot, shopping mallls, etc etc. Even a starbucks!) and is about 2 hours from the bigger cities, like San Antonio... it makes land cheaper if you live inbetween. Hondo is close to SA, and has a lot of very nice land too for relatively cheap. You're far more rural, but since SA is like 45 minutes away, you have access to everything there, too.

My one broody changed colors drastically too.
Yes, mine are having their first good molt too. I feel bad about not knowing who is who anymore.

He's been upset that i'm not around but he's doing great in middle school. He makes friends real easy so he's got lots of new friends. All the babies are healthy and adorable, makes even the husband want to have a couple. XD

I second this. I'm originally from San Antonio and it's a great area to live in. Might I suggest Helotes? Especially if you have kids, because my alma mater O'Connor High School is in Helotes and is the only 4H/FFA school in the city. Try and find a non-HOA neighborhood though, or buy land zoned for livestock in the city proper.

Homestead news: Daisy and Martha are going through a real hard molt, and the others are going through light molts. Coreen is doing better, but is molting hard too.

We have two pumpkins, they're real dark green on the vine and should be ready by Halloween. Both are already the size of most grocery store pumpkins here, they'll be huge when they finish. Corn is kinda wimpy yield this year, but next year will be better since Husband and I will be measuring for weed sheeting in the winter and laying it down in spring.

Also making a small batch of dilly beans with some late beans!
