My incubator isn’t getting hot enough. The display on the incubator itself says 38c but the two thermometers I put inside say 34? Anyone know how I can fix this? I also have a noter cheap incubator thy I’m reluctant to use but does get up to temp? There are currently 6 duck eggs in there on day 1 of incubation. Any advice at all is appreciated, thank you.

As a rule, I don't trust incubator displays (for either temperature or humidity). If you believe your independent thermometers are accurate, and you can't raise the temperature to where it should be, I'd move the eggs to an incubator that maintains the correct temperature ASAP for their best chance of developing properly.

Why are you reluctant to use the other incubator?

Hey, thanks for the advice, I just tried to put them into the second incubator, (it’s small and cheap). And they wouldn’t all fit so I’ve placed the heater from that inside the larger incubator and it’s started to warm up. I’m going to order another incubator anyway though
