Well I got my LAST batch of shipped eggs for the year (yeah right LOL ) At least for a few weeks hehe.... They were some Marans but not easy ones to find. VERY impressed with the color too.... now lets hope they hatch!

I will set eggs tomorrow and that should be the last for a couple of weeks if I can stand it ..... If I can limit myself to 60 eggs every 2 weeks I might can catch up....

Sounds like a good plan... My dad said no more hatching eggs, and then my hen went broody...SCORE!

I'm planning to set eggs for about another 2 weeks or so, and then I'm quitting for the summer.

And I thought you guys had it BAD..... LOL. I hatch all year long.... no breaks.... till now and that will not be much of one really.

How long do you think it will be before i can sex these wheaten am's... i have an order for girls only!!

BTW: i have veining in the CCL eggs... Just hope i find it wasn't fatty!!

For one thing I'm running out of places to put baby chicks, and for another thing, the summer heat is setting in now. It will be 100+ for the next 3 months, and that's miserable to get out in trying to take care of chickens. I have more than enough to take care of as it is.
