The breed has extended to Germany, but it certainly didn’t start there. It didn’t exactly start in the UK either. The fact remains that it is a historical text written on the breed. It doesn’t matter if any country or organization doesn’t agree with the standards represented in it; it’s a HISTORICAL text written on the development of the breed from the oldest organization of breeders which absolutely isn’t open to interpretation or opinion. The duck on the cover unquestionably was at some point even considered breed standard in Germany or wherever because at some point that’s how they looked. Seriously, check out the book; it’s fascinating.
