Quote: My broody hen is not a hen but a very picky incubator. Sorry I was not more clear. I can hear the peeping without opening the incubator so all is well there.
We've got pips!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WhooHooo!!
I pushed her chest back a little a just got a glance, so I couldn't say how many, or where they pipped, but I did see a couple little cracks.
Now we wait.
I am not going to sleep a wink tonight. Be prepared for a lot of me on here tonight.
Congrats, I have 2 chicks but one has a hemorrhoid issue. So I'm not sure it will make it. The other I'm waiting to see how it dries out.
AND of all things I broke the lockdown rule and opened the lid to help the hemorrhoid chick by wrapping it in a wet rag. At least it was dark enough to quickly take a peak at a couple of other eggs. I saw internal pipping taking place so I'm hoping for more chicks by morning.
My cl chick is excessively loud in the bator. I want to wait till it is time to check the injured chick and till the cl is dried off before moving it to the brooder but it is very loud.
